ICIMOD and MoFSC launch near real-time forest fire alert system
An operational remote sensing-based forest fire detection and monitoring system for Nepal was officially launched by the Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation (MoFSC) and the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) on Friday, 12 April during a regional policy workshop at ICIMOD headquarters in Kathmandu.
