Loan waivers are on you, FM tells States - Today's Paper - The Hindu
When it comes to India's largest (or second largest) bad debtor, Adani,
Jaitely rushes to defend another $1billion being questionably and
controversially lent by SBI, a bank that now works as the extension of
the PMO and Finance Ministry, and in fact at their beck and call.
"Mr. Jaitley said the Congress was raking this up as it has a paucity of
issues. “Since when has the issue of a creditor’s willingness to give
loans to a borrower become an issue of public debate,” he wrote."
And when it comes to waiving farmers loans, Jaitely does not hesitate to say it's not his problem at all!
